Office of the Prosecuting Attorney of Elkhart County

The Interdiction and Covert Enforcement Unit

The Interdiction and Covert Enforcement Unit (ICE) consists of a unit supervisor, a civilian criminal intelligence analyst and detectives from local law enforcement agencies. The unit analyzes criminal intelligence information, citizen tips, drug arrests and assistance provided to and by other law enforcement agencies when initiating an investigation. Due to the covert nature of drug and organized crime investigations, information and updates about cases are available only to law enforcement. We coordinate investigations with other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to ensure that investigative efforts do not conflict. This collaboration also enhances officer safety.

Mission Statement
