FARM EAST OF BRISTOL RAIDED BY I.C.E. OFFICERS-SUSPECTED CRYSTAL METHAMPHETAMINE, MARIJUANA, 11 GUNS, CASH AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA SEIZED

The Elkhart County I.C.E. unit, assisted by officers of the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Goshen Police Department ERT served a search warrant at a farm on CR 8 & CR 27 (16708 CR 8), Bristol, Indiana. The raid took place at 5:12pm on September 24, 2009. The Emergency Response Teams were utilized due to intelligence information that persons at this residence may be armed and dangerous.
I.C.E. has been investigating suspected illegal drugs distribution from this location since July of 2009.
As a result of the search warrant the officers seized 314.91 grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine, approximately 2,314 grams of marijuana, $3,732 in cash and 8 rifles, 2 shotguns and a .45 cal. Handgun.
The suspected drugs were concealed in an out building that contained approximately 100 roosters.
The total estimated potential street value of the suspected illegal drugs is $35, 741.
The officers arrested two persons:
Damian Alcaras Rosales, age 37, 16708 CR 8, Bristol was booked into the Elkhart County Jail and preliminarily charged with Possession of Methamphetamine in Excess of 3 grams, a Class A felony. He faces up to 50 years in prison.
Also arrested was Rogelio Camacho, AKA: Domingo Pita, 40, 16708 CR 8, Bristol. He was booked into the Elkhart County Jail and preliminarily charged with Possession of Cocaine under 3 grams, a Class D Felony. He faces up to 3 years in prison.
In addition to these two persons 15 other persons were found to be living at this residence. This investigation continues and additional arrests are expected.
