There is an alarming increase in the production and use of methamphetamine in Elkhart County. The community needs to be educated to the signs of the methamphetamine production process, distribution, and the hazards associated with drug use. Children are particularly vulnerable to health effects and dangerous environments of the illegal drug trade. They are at risk of explosion, chemical burns and are often neglected by drug using parents. Other hazards to children in these chaotic environments many times include exposure to weapons, criminals , illegal acts, violence and unsanitary living conditions.
Our intent is to enlighten the public about the dangerous and damaging effects of methamphetamine with our “We Won’t Stop” methamphetamine public awareness campaign.
