Child Support Program Continues to Increase Collections

The Elkhart County Child Support Division had another banner year for the collection of child support in 2004.  The program collected approximately $1.8 million more dollars for child support in 2004.  This is a 16.48% increase above the 2003 collections.  Overall, just under $13 million dollars was collected in 2004.  Pam Benedix, Office Manager, said "We are a model county for Child Support enforcement.  Elkhart County had the largest increase in collections in the State in 2004."  Information about the Child Support program and how to apply for assistance can be found in the programs and services section of this web site.
