CORRECTION*** MEDIA ADVISORY ***August 20, 2012                                               FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEMan Arrested in slaying of Tyrannosaurus Rex MullensMEDIA CONTACT:  Ed Windbigler, 296-1888  ***On August 4, 2012, at approximately 11:17 a.m. officers responded to 1701 ½ Morton Ave., Elkhart, IN, in regard to a welfare check.  Upon arrival they located a deceased male, who was subsequently identified as James Grant, AKA Tyrannosaurus Rex Mullens.  Grant appeared to have suffered several sharp force injuries.  The incident was then assigned to the Elkhart Police Department’s Homicide Unit.On August 7, 2012, an autopsy was performed on Mr. Grant. Preliminary findings concluded that Grant’s cause of death was due to numerous sharp force injuries to the chest, head and neck.During the course of the investigation homicide detectives identified Brandon Lee Johnston as a suspect.  The Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed the charge of Murder against Johnston in the Elkhart Circuit Court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
