Unit officers developed information that led to the issuance of a search warrant for a residence at 105 W. Wilkinson, Goshen. On April 17th at approximately 8:00pm I.C.E. personnel served the search warrant and seized approximately $154 pounds of high grade Mexican marijuana, with an estimated street value of $115,000. No one was home when the search warrant was served. Following up on information obtained at this location the I.C.E. unit arrested Esmerardo Romo, AKA: Eddie the next day and seized from him 8 ounces of cocaine, with an estimated street value in excess of $22,800.00. Also seized was $1500 in cash and a PT Cruiser vehicle. Romo is 34 and listed an address of 114 N. Indiana Ave., Goshen. Romo is allegedly tied to the Wilkinson street address. On April 20th a Probable Cause Hearing was held and Romo was formally charged with three Class A Felony Deliveries of Cocaine in Excess of 3 grams and two additional D Felonies. His bond was set at $500,000. He faces up to 150 years in prison on these charges. ÂThis is a lot of dopeÂ, according to Prosecutor Curtis T. Hill Jr. Âto put this in a more localized perspective, this is enough dope to make 2 hand rolled marijuana cigarettes for every man, woman and child residing in the City of Goshen, with plenty to spareÂ. ***
