Hill, Jr. will file to seek re-election as Prosecuting Attorney for the 34th Judicial Circuit, Elkhart County, State of Indiana.  Hill received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Indiana University School of Business and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the Indiana University School of Law in 1987.  Prior to being elected Prosecuting Attorney for Elkhart County, Hill was engaged in the private general practice of law while also serving as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Elkhart County.  In November of 2002, Hill, a Republican, was first elected Prosecuting Attorney, winning 78% of the vote.  In 2006, Hill was unopposed in his first re-election bid.Hill is a member of the Executive Working Group as one of six Prosecuting Attorneys nationally that meet with United States Attorney General and Department of Justice officials regarding crime initiatives in America.  Hill is Vice President of the National District Attorney’s Association, Immediate Past President of the Association of Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys, and Chairman of the Governor’s Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving.  He is a Trustee for both the National College of District Attorneys and the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.  In addition, Hill serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Elkhart and ETHOS.  He is a member of the Elks Lodge #425, the NAACP, the Elkhart City Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, and the State Board of Law Examiners Committee on Character and Fitness.  Hill is an Honorary Rotarian, provides volunteer work for the Elkhart County 4-H Extension Project Lead, and participates in Elkhart Community Theatre.   Hill is formerly a member of the Board of Governors at the Indiana State Bar Association and the Board of Directors of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce.Hill has testified before Congress on “Methamphetamine in the Heartland” and was a presenter for the 2004 Northern Indiana Methamphetamine Summit sponsored by the Office of National Drug Control Policy Executive Office of the President of the United States.A life-long resident of Elkhart County, Hill and his wife Teresa have five (5) children.                                                   *  *  *
