ÂUnder Indiana law, all persons arrested for a criminal offense are innocent until proven guilty in a court of lawÂ*** MEDIA ADVISORY *** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEWARRANT ISSUED IN SUSPECTED METHAMPHETAMINE LAB EXPLOSION CASEMEDIA CONTACT: Bill Wargo, 296-1888 The Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney's Office completed the review of the circumstances surrounding and explosion and fire on October 16, 2008. At approximately 4:51am police and fire personnel were dispatched to 130 N. 2nd St, apartment A2. It appeared to the first officers on the scene that an active methamphetamine lab may have been in operation in that apartment. The Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Lab Team was contacted immediately. Other officers responding received information that two persons, a male and a female had gone to the McDonaldÂs restaurant on N. Main St.at about the same time. It was reported that the male and female both appeared to be suffering from severe burns. These two subjects left and the police were unable to locate them. A short time later, officers were called by personnel at Elkhart General Hospital that two persons had arrived there with burns. The two were taken to Ft. Wayne Burn Center due to the severity of their injuries and the police were unable to talk with them. The investigation by the Elkhart Police Department was submitted to the Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and a warrant was issued for Tabitha Woods, AKA: Tabitha Mishler, Tabitha Enochs. The Elkhart Police Department advised the Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney's Office that Tabitha Woods had been released from a Ft. Wayne hospital. The warrant charged Woods with three counts; Count I, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony, Count II, Serious Violent Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a Class B Felony, and Count III, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Class D Felony. Woods bond has been set at $100,000 and she faces up to 43 years in prison. In addition to materials used to manufacture methamphetamine the police also found a .45 caliber handgun. Woods was arrested on October 29th by officers of the Elkhart Police Department. ***
