*** MEDIA ADVISORY*** March 9, 2012 TWO ARRESTED IN GOSHEN AFTER SEIZURE OF COCAINE, HANDGUNS, AND CASH FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contact:  Edward A. Windbigler - 296-1888 * * *Elkhart County Interdiction and Covert Enforcement Unit (ICE) along with Goshen’s Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at 309 W. Oakridge Street, Goshen, Indiana, at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2012.  The search followed an investigation into illegal drug sales from this residence.  During the search, officers recovered thirty-two (32) individually wrapped bags of purported cocaine (17.9 grams), a loaded handgun, scales and other paraphernalia related to illegal drug sales. Street value for the recovered drugs was approximately $1,700.00.This investigation follows two additional search warrants that were served by the ICE Unit, in Goshen on February 2, 2012.  Officers executed simultaneous search warrants at 307 Oakridge (which is next door to the current residence) and 511 Mercer. During the searches on February 2, officers at the Oakridge residence recovered three (3) handguns, 46.3 grams of purported cocaine and ten (10) pounds of marijuana. Officers at the Mercer residence recovered approximately five (5) grams of purported cocaine and $12,913.00 in cash.
