TRACKS BIG BROTHER FOLLOWING IN LITTLE BROTHER’S FOOTSTEPS  MEDIA CONTACT:  Bill Wargo, 296-1888 Officers assigned to the Elkhart County I.C.E. unit continued their investigation into the distribution of cocaine in Elkhart County and arrested Juan Ignacio Bocanegra, age 29, of 212 New St., Goshen.Bond was set for Bocanegra in the amount of $500,000 at a Probable Cause Hearing on September 25, 2009.Bocanegra was arrested by I.C.E. on September 23rd at approximately 9:00pm at his residence. I.C.E. officers were assisted by Goshen City Emergency Response Team (ERT) officers in serving a search warrant and making the arrest. At the time of his arrest Bocanegra was found with 14 grams of suspected cocaine in his pocket and another 3.5 grams in his bedroom.  In addition to being booked for Possession of Cocaine in Excess of 3 grams with Intent to Deliver, a Class A felony, Bocanegra allegedly delivered purported cocaine on four other occasions throughout the month of September.In total I.C.E. has seized a total of 68 grams of suspected cocaine during this investigation. This suspected cocaine has an estimated potential street value of $6800.00.Bocanegra faces up to 250 years in prison on these charges. Juan Bocanegra’s younger brother, Luis Bocanegra was arrested in March of 2007 and at that time was charged with Delivery of Cocaine in Excess of 3 grams. He was sentenced in October of 2008 to 40 years at the Indiana Department of Corrections. ***
