Hively Ave., Elkhart.Undercover officers assigned to I.C.E. have developed information over the past five months that alleged that Lewis was involved in the distribution of crack cocaine in the City of Elkhart. Undercover officers allege that they have purchased purported crack cocaine from Lewis on four (4) separate occasions. On Wednesday, May 14 a search warrant was obtained through the Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. A request for a Âno knock warrant was presented to the judge and granted. The Indiana State Police responded with a team of 17 officers who executed the search warrant at the Hively Ave location at approximately 6:30pm on Thursday May 15. The ERT took Lewis into custody without incident and officers from the Elkhart County I.C.E. unit found approximately 22.2 grams of suspected crack cocaine, with an estimated street value of approximately $2,200. The officers also confiscated $1940 in cash. Other evidence of alleged drug sales was also found in the residence.
