*** MEDIA ADVISORY ***October 27, 2004                                                          FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASESEARCH WARRANTMEDIA CONTACT:  Bill Wargo, 296-1888                         On October 26th at approximately 12:45am officers of the Goshen Police Department Drug Unit and the Goshen Police Department Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at The ERT was utilized to gain entry as information had been developed that the owner of the residence would likely be armed. As a result of the search warrant the officers arrested William Zollinger, age 29, of the Zollinger road address. Zollinger has been preliminarily charged with three felonies. Dealing in methamphetamine, a Class A Felony, Dealing in Marijuana, a Class D Felony and Illegal Possession of a Handgun, a Class C Felony. Zollinger potentially could be sentenced to over 50 years with the Indiana Department of Corrections. His bond has been set at $500,000. The officers located 164 grams of methamphetamine, 294 grams of marijuana and a loaded .45 caliber semi-automatic hand gun. Zollinger is also currently on Probation for Burglary and Possession of Marijuana and charges will be filed by the Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for Violation of Probation. There were two small children sleeping in the home at the time the warrant was served. 1006 Zollinger Road, Goshen. The Goshen Police Department Drug Unit officers had received information that methamphetamine and marijuana was being sold from that location.
